I’ve not laid vinyl before – is it easy?

We were recently asked how easy it was to lay vinyl. Karen Fraser asked us

Hi, I’m buying a 2.5 x 2m piece of your vinyl for my bathroom. Will 1 can of the spray adhesive you sell work for this amount of vinyl and is it easy to use as I’ve not laid vinyl before?

Best4flooring said: Yes 1 can should be plenty. With regard to how easy it is to use, laying sheet vinyl could be considered a DIY task however it does depend on how capable you are when it comes to such projects. To put it into perspective, our Kay who is NOT a fitter (she does IT stuff) attempted to install carpet in her outbuilding and made a royal mess of it. She said she doesn't care because it's a messy room but it would make her think twice before attempting to lay vinyl, especially with all the cutting around the loo, etc. Phil said to give him a call to discuss if you like.
