Moduleo FAQs

What is Moduleo LVT flooring?

Moduleo is a Belgian flooring brand known for its high-quality luxury vinyl tiles (LVT). Their flooring features multiple layers that resist moisture and wear, with click or glue‑down installation methods. Learn about other options in our full luxury vinyl flooring and tiles range.

How much does Moduleo flooring cost?

Prices vary by range, thickness and finish. On average, it costs £25-£45 per square metre, with click systems like Moduleo LayRed slightly more expensive than glue-down systems like Moduleo Roots. Whatever your budget, you will find a Moduleo floor to match it at Best4Flooring.

Is Moduleo as good as Karndean?

Yes, Moduleo is every bit as good as Karndean in terms of quality and performance. Both brands make durable luxury vinyl flooring with realistic finishes and long warranties. The main difference is origin and style: Karndean is a British brand with a classic design focus, while Moduleo is made in Belgium and known for its contemporary look and sustainable production.

Can Moduleo flooring be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, Moduleo flooring works perfectly with both electric and water-based underfloor heating systems. It conducts heat efficiently and stays stable up to 27°C, so rooms feel warm without damaging the floor. Just make sure the temperature rises gradually and remains even across the surface for the best long-term performance. Read our guide to underfloor heating for more tips.

What thickness options are available?

Moduleo flooring comes in a range of thicknesses depending on the collection. Most designs are between 2 and 2.5mm thick for glue-down (Dryback) floors, while click-fit options like Moduleo LayRed are around 6mm, including their built-in underlay. The thicker options give extra comfort and sound insulation, while the thinner ones are ideal for a sleek, low-profile fit.

What designs are available?

Moduleo offers a wide variety of styles inspired by natural materials. You’ll find realistic wood designs with lifelike grain and texture, stone-look tiles with subtle shading, and patterned options for a creative finish.

The Moduleo Roots collection draws its look from nature, featuring traditional oak and walnut effects, natural stone, marble and concrete tones, and elegant herringbone patterns. If you prefer a floor that combines style and practicality, the Moduleo LayRed collection is ideal. It offers the same authentic designs with extra scratch and stain protection, plus the flexibility to handle slightly uneven subfloors.

Does Moduleo need underlay?

It depends on which type of flooring you choose. The glue-down (Dryback) ranges don’t need underlay, as they’re fitted directly to the subfloor. The click-fit Moduleo LayRed collection already includes an integrated underlay, so there’s no need to add anything extra.

Underlay is useful for other click LVT floors because it helps reduce sound, evens out small subfloor imperfections, and adds comfort underfoot. If you do need a separate underlay, Moduleo recommends using Xtrafloor products only. You can view our underlay options or contact our customer service team to check what’s suitable for your installation.

Is Moduleo vinyl flooring any good?

Yes. Moduleo is a top brand of LVT flooring and performs well in busy spaces, including kitchens and hallways. It offers a waterproof build, strong wear resistance and realistic finishes. Compare with other leading brands such as Karndean or QuickStep.

Is Moduleo cheaper than Amtico?

Yes, Moduleo is usually the more affordable of the two. Both brands offer premium flooring, but Moduleo often comes in at a lower price point while keeping the same durability and realistic design. Amtico has a wider UK-made range, whereas Moduleo is produced in Belgium with a strong focus on quality and sustainability.

Where can I use Moduleo flooring?

You can use Moduleo flooring almost anywhere in your home. It’s waterproof, hard-wearing and easy to clean, which makes it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and living areas. It’s also comfortable underfoot and compatible with most underfloor heating systems. Read our buying guide to see how to choose LVT for every room in our home.

What is the installation method for Moduleo flooring?

You can choose glue‑down or click installation. Glue‑down needs adhesive on a flat base, while click tiles fit without glue. Read our LVT click vs. glue down comparison guide to see the differences between the two.

How do I clean Moduleo flooring?

Sweep or vacuum often and wipe spills quickly. Avoid steam cleaners, harsh chemicals, and rubber-backed mats, as they can mark the surface. For the best results, use products from our Moduleo cleaning range and see our guides on how to clean vinyl flooring and remove stains.

How long does Moduleo flooring last?

With the right care, Moduleo flooring can last 20 to 25 years in most homes, and lifetime residential warranties range from 15 years to lifetime. Its tough wear layer protects against scratches, stains and everyday knocks. Check out our Moduleo maintenance range for everything you need to keep your flooring looking its best.
