Lino or Cushion Vinyl?

Kitchen linoleum is generally asked for because it is known to be resilient, cost effective and sold on a roll (in sheets) rather than a tile. Cushion vinyl is also sold by the sheet (on a roll), it is resilient (firm yet gives bounce), is cost effective and also is usually what the customer is shown today if you walk into a flooring shop asking for kitchen lino. They are different though, vinyl and lino, in how they are made. Kitchen vinyl consists of felt, fiberglass and dye whereas kitchen linoleum is made from linseed oil, tree resin, limestone and pigments and is a bit harder to keep clean than vinyl. If you would like to discuss lino vs vinyl sheet further you can always send an email or give us a call.

Fitting your Kitchen Lino

We recommend that your kitchen lino/vinyl is fitted onto a solid, clean and smooth sub-floor. The lino can be loose laid, fully adhered or semi-adhered using double sided tape or spray adhesive. Any questions you require please don't hesitate to contact one of our experienced member's of staff who will gladly help with any fitting advice needed.
