Linoleum flooring is generally known for being resilient, affordable and supplied by the roll. These qualities also apply to the equivalent Sheet Vinyl.
Lino and Vinyl are different products, no question, they are made using different materials, lino contains linseed oil, tree resin, limestone and pigments whereas vinyl has felt, fiberglass and dyes. Vinyl is easier to clean though and it's warmer and cushioned - so much nicer to your tootsies!

Fitting your Funky Flooring
Our sheet vinyl can be loose laid, semi or fully adhered to clean, smooth, solid sub floors and is a DIY product. Smooth concrete floors is ideal but if you have wood floor boards you will need to lay 6mm ply. Please don't think you can bypass this or you will end up with a floor that looks bad and wears easily. Is it a doddle? That's a million dollar question and it's really a case of asking yourself if you're good at this sort of thing or not. It also depends on your room shape and if there is anything you need to fit the flooring around (such as a loo!). In our opinion sheet vinyl is an easy installation compared to, say, dryback vinyl tiles. Most product pages include downloadable installation instructions.
