Firstly you must prime and screed your concrete floor to prepare for the adhesive. Then there are two main types of adhesive used currently:
- An applicator applied mastic adhesive such as ‘Sikabond’ T54FC - The mastic adhesive allows installation on floors which are slightly uneven as its applied in a 6mm bead.
- A trowel applied spreadable adhesive such as FBall B93 - the spreadable adhesive is much more economical from a cost and usage point of view but your subfloor must be perfectly flat and smooth.
